Seabrook Island

This island and it’s marsh was granted in 1696 to Joseph Blake. Blake flipped the sale in only a few months to Thomas Jones. Jones’s great grandson later sold to Ebenezr Simmons who did hold on to it for many years until it was sold to William Seabrook – it’s namesake. What started as farm land for a wealthy Edisto Island property owner has evolved into another beautiful residential community.
