This beautiful piece of marsh is attached to the high land of Mt Pleasant near the harbor. The original granting plat even has a distinction of hard marsh and boggey marsh. When the owner conveyed his property in 1789 he described it as “the Great Marsh next to Certain Islands lying towards the Sea”.
